Here is Branon performing in his 1st grade "Silly Songs" program. He's my little poser!! Notice, how all the children around him are singing and doing the actions to the songs?.......Not him. He sees the camera and he stops and flashes me a smile!!

Brey participated in the production of Hansel and Gretel....he was a towns boy. Here he is with his cousin Kamryn. She was the Black Raven. He did a great job in his acting debut!! He wasn't too hip about the makeup, neither was his dad :) We were so proud of him, he did a great job!!

Here's the biggest performer of them all..... I put a tutu on her and she transformed into a "little diva!" She ended up on the stage twice before Hansel and Gretel even started. She kept telling me, "I dancing!!"

Bentlee will be starting dance lessons in January. I am hoping she follows in my footsteps as far as dancing goes!! She will probably be the chubbiest one in her class, but I am really looking forward to seeing her in tights and a leotard!! The chubby ones are always the cutest, right?!

Sadly, I don't have pictures of that! On Halloween, I left my camera sitting on the hood of my car at the pumpkin patch, and then drove off. I didn't realize that I had done that until a few hours later. I did however, find my camera..........about 1/4 of a mile from the pumpkin patch. Smashed as flat as a pancake on the road:( I hope I learned my lesson!!

Isn't it true that things happen in 3's? So, Bentlee broke her arm, Branon hit his head in the car and had to get 2 staples in his head, and last Thursday, Kip cut his hand/thumb with a grinder (requiring 26 stitches). I would post pictures, but I don't have a camera!! That's 3 things for us....I think it's someone else's turn!!

On Sept. 22nd, our oldest boy turned 12! Brey has grown into such a smart, handsome, talented, funny, young man in such a short amount of time! He is so helpful around the house...especially with Bentlee. He keeps the little boys laughing at all times, and is a wonderful example to them. We are so blessed to have him in our family!

Our August...

I am backtracking just a little, since I have been slacking a bit on my blogging! Our August was crazy busy, so I thought I would blog about our happenings in August. We went to Utah one weekend with my sister Kandi and my niece Kamryn as one last "get away" before school started. We stayed in a hotel and let the kiddos swim, and the next day, attended a birthday party for my nephew Nick at Kangaroo Zoo.

My younger sister Melissa, met us at the hotel with her kids Mayli and Marlow. This is Mayli....she's adorable!!

Kip found this little kitty one morning at work. It was stuck under a newspaper machine outside of Taco Bandido. He had a bad leg, so I took him to the vet and he's doing GREAT! We named him Nacho......isn't that appropriate :)

While in Utah, at the Kangaroo Zoo birthday party, someone fell on Bentlee while jumping in a bounce house, and broke her arm. It was obvious that her arm was broken (it was bent the wrong way) so I scooped her up and we headed to Primary Children's Hospital. (Luckily my sis lives in Utah, and knows how to maneuver through the traffic quickly) After they did x-rays, and got Bentlee doped up, they had to re-set her arm. I couldn't watch...I had to stand in the hall. They splinted her arm, and sent us on our way. She was in a splint for about 10 days, and then she was able to get her LOVELY PINK cast!! She gets it off in about a week, I hope! It hasn't slowed her down a bit, and she tells EVERYONE about it!!

The kids entered some art work in our County Fair. They did GREAT! The older two get annoyed because Branon always places better than they do. He's a natural!! Brey and Bridg got 3rd place ribbons, and Branon got 2nd.

Kip's sister Tamie and her son Andrew came to visit from Washington for a week. We don't get to see them as often as we would like to, so it's always fun when they come for a visit.

Back to School....

Here are a few pics of my handsome little guys on their first day of school. Brey is almost 12 and in the 6th grade. He is growing up TOO fast! He didn't want me to take him into his class this year, he asked me to just drop him off in front of the school. At least he didn't ask me to drop him off 2 blocks away :)

Bridger is 8 and in the 3rd grade. He too is growing up fast! As I walked him to his class and gave him a hug, he said "Mom...don't do that! That's embarrassing!!" Oops!

Branon is 6 and started 1st grade this year. He isn't embarrassed of his mama yet. I was happy when he held my hand all the way down the hall to his classroom and let me hug him! :)

So that leaves little miss Bentlee here at home with me! (yes...she has a broken arm....more to come on that....)

Summer Recap....

So...........My camera got wet the last day that we were at Lake Powell and sadly, it DIED. I have been without a camera for the past 2 months, so that's my excuse for SLACKING on my blog. Brey was nice enough to let me borrow his camera a few times, so here are some pics from our eventful summer. The top two pictures were taken just minutes after Bridger won the Homerun Derby in the Rookie division. He hit the most/farthest pitches for his age group!! He's a little slugger! (thanks for the pictures Kacee) Brey's baseball team took the 3rd place trophies this season. They did a GREAT job and had an excellent coach! The next few pictures were taken at our annual 4th of July Party. We had an awesome turnout this year......96 friends/family member attended, and of course, Kip put on a spectacular firework show!!

Lake Powell

Lake Powell was WONDERFUL!! The 95 degree weather felt great!! We spent the week with my sister and her family, our friends the Nelsons, and our friends the Clarks joined us for the end of the week. We spent our days eating, swimming, boating, laying out, nertzing, and relaxing!!

These past few weeks have been a little CRAZY for the Guiles Family!! School ended, Bridger celebrated his 8th birthday with a "basketball" themed party, I threw a surprise party for Kips 40th birthday, we had scout camp, baseball games, Bridger's baptism, basketball camp, and a week a Lake Powell. WHEW!!!! Here are a few pictures from our festivities......

Boo-Boo turns 2!

Bentlee (Boo-Boo) turned 2 on April 7. She LOVES Dora, so of course, we had to have a Dora birthday party!! Bentlee was in "Dora heaven." She got a Dora doll, Dora book, Dora pajamas, Dora backpack, Dora towel, and a Dora blanket. Dora was EVERYWHERE!! It is soooo much fun having a little girl in our house. She is a little ball of fire, but I can't imagine my life without her. She has added such a spark to our family!! We love her so much!!

Mexican Riviera

We're back!!! Last week we had the amazing experience of boarding a cruise ship, and setting sail for Mexico. We spent 7 wonderful, fun filled days with our boys and our great friends, Steve & Kelly Clark, and Mike & Audra Pike and their boys Jordan, Keaton, and Treyden. Bentlee stayed home with Mimi and Papa. (thanks mom and dad!!) Although we missed her a TON, it was fun getting to spend some quality time with our boys. We went on a pirate ship in Puerto Vallarta, toured the city in Mazatlan, and spent some time on Lovers Beach in Cabo San Lucas. This cruise was a surprise from Kip. He planned the whole thing...and surprised us on Christmas morning. What a GREAT guy...I am soooo lucky to have him!! Here are a few pics from our trip..

Every evening we would return to our rooms to find a new "towel animal" on our beds. The boys could hardly wait to see what the new animal would be. Here are a couple of their favorites...

The Little Tornado Strikes Again...

This is our "little tornado." We call her this because she is into EVERYTHING and leaves a path of destruction wherever she goes. Her latest incident involved a bottle of conditioner. Her hair, face, pajamas and the bathroom sink & counter top were caked with conditioner. She tried...most of it ended up in her hair...where it should be. It's hard to be mad at her when she looks so satisfied and proud of herself!!

No...those aren't false teeth. It's just Bentlee's favorite binkie. Unfortunately, it makes her look like a "hillbilly!" The boys think it is hilarious!!!

Valentines Day Fun

We spent Valentine's Day in Utah with my sister, Melissa, and my brother, Bret, and their families. It was fun for the little cousins to get together!!

14 Years!

Yesterday we celebrated our anniversary...14 years!!! After a long day of running kids around, Kip surprised me with a candle lit bubble bath. That was soooo thoughtful of him and I was very surprised!! I have the most awesome hubby in the world!!

Gray hairs...

So...lately, I have been finding gray hairs in my head. I carefully pluck them out with the tweezers and the next day, I find more. It's an ongoing process. (thank heavens for dark brown hair dye) As I was arguing with my oldest boy yesterday about his homework, I realized where the gray hairs were coming from. He's turning into a teenager and it scares me to death!! He's getting sassy, more independent, smarter, cuter (he hates it when I say that), and I find us arguing alot. So as the argument continues about the math homework, I say to him..."Brey, come on... think... they couldn't make this math problem any easier for you." And then under his breath I hear him say, "yah they could...they could print the answer." A few seconds later, we both burst into laughter and I am thankful all over again for my role as a mom...gray hairs and all!!

This is how my morning started out...and this is what happens when people run stop signs.
Apparently she didn't see us. Although it wasn't my fault, I still feel bad that it happened. I had Bentlee in the car with me and my little nephew Marlow. No one was injured...THANK GOODNESS!! Except for my poor, poor car!! Thank heavens for seat belts, car seats, and air bags! BUCKLE UP...PLEASE!!!!!!

Island Park Getaway

For the past couple of years, we have rented a cabin in Island Park along with my sister, Kandace, and her family. We usually go a few days after Christmas and stay through New Years. We have so much fun doing a whole lot of nothing!! We play games, snowmobile, play "nerts", watch movies, play Guitar Hero, sit in the hot tub and eat!! The kids have decided that we need to make it a tradition!!

A Guiles Christmas...

The Guiles Family had a WONDERFUL Christmas!!! However...we are either jinxed or just have really bad luck! The past few years, we have ended up in the Emergency Room either on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or the day after Christmas. Three years ago, we made a trip to the E.R. on Christmas Eve after Branon's forehead collided with the corner of the dresser. (5 stitches) Last year on Dec. 26th, Kip collided with a moving vehicle while plowing snow on his Rhino. (concussion and temporary hearing loss) This year, Bentlee ended up in the E.R. on Christmas Day with a TERRIBLE ear infection. So I ask myself...are we jinxed?? Do we have extremely bad luck?? I guess we will see what next year brings! We were still able to have a great Christmas full of fun, family, and memories!! Mr. Claus was a very busy man this year!! Under the tree, he left me a little white box with the most beautiful silver/diamond "sparkler" for my ring finger. I will post a picture later...it's getting sized!! Then to top it off...Mr. Claus surprised us with a family cruise. Mrs. Claus had NO idea. TOTAL SURPRISE!! We are going on a cruise with our 3 boys to Mexico in March. (Bentlee has to stay with grandma) We are soooo excited!! Isn't Mr Claus AMAZING??? I LOVE him!!

Ho Ho Ho

It's been a couple of weeks since I last blogged, so I have some catching up to do.
This is what we've been up to...
We made our annual trip to Utah to finish our Christmas shopping and spend some time with my sister, Melissa, and her family. The kids got a surprise visit from Santa and Mrs Claus. They were all sooooo excited!! Well.....except for Bentlee!!

We drove downtown Salt Lake to Temple Square to see the beautiful Christmas lights...
It was SOOOOOO cold!! But well worth the drive!!!

On December 10th, my "bff" Branon turned 6. He had the BEST DAY EVER!! First, he got to take snacks to kindergarten, then his best buddy from school got to come over and play, and last of all...we took him to see "A Christmas Carol." It was kinda scary, but the kids still loved it!!

He wanted a Monster Truck cake. This is my "lame" attempt at a Monster Truck cake!

To top it all off...a Nintendo D.S. The kid was in "heaven!"

This is my sister's new house. It is almost finished and we were able to have our Thanksgiving dinner there. There was PLENTY of room for all of us. My whole family was together and we had a BLAST!!

Our friends invited us to go to Vegas with them for a few days, so we made arrangements to leave our kids, packed our suitcases, and jetted off to Vegas for a much needed vacation! We spent 3 days jam packed full of shopping, sight seeing, eating, and going to shows. We were even able to SQUEEZE in the midnight showing of "New Moon."

The other day, my friend Hillary and I took our kids to the pumpkin patch. Going to the pumpkin patch has always been a "fall favorite" of mine. The kids enjoy it too!!!

While we were gone to Lake Powell, Brey's reading teacher gave his class an assignment to write a descriptive paper about making cookies. The paper had to include a rough draft, a three page organizer, and a final draft. The five senses also had to be included. Since he missed all of the note taking that went with this assignment, we called his good friend, Dakota, to bring her notes and come help us! I was TOTALLY confused!! Not only did he have to write the paper, but he had to do it while mixing, baking, and eating the cookies. I don't remember 5th grade being this hard!

We just spent 5 days at Lake Powell with our friends, the Clarks. Instead of "tackling" the piles of laundry, blankets, pillows, food, etc....I am blogging. What is wrong with me!! We had a GREAT time! It wasn't exactly super-warm, but after our "freak" snowstorm, 75 degrees was PARADISE!!!

My baby is 18 months! (well...almost) She will be 18 months old on Oct.7th, but we will be out of town, so I am blogging about it now! I took some fun, random pics of her. ENJOY....

I am going to list 18 of my most favorite things about Bentlee Boo. (I love lists)
1. She has an adorable dimple in her cheek. (see top photo)
2. She is always losing the remote to the t.v.
3. She LOVES to wear everybody's shoes. Especially flip flops!

4. Pink is her favorite color!
5. Whenever I get my camera out...she RUNS the other way.
6. Her favorite phrases are..."here kitty, kitty, kitty" and "daddy, where are you?"

7. She LOVES to go bye bye.
8. When she shakes her head "no", her whole body shakes with it.
9. She looks fabulous in a swimsuit! (chubby thighs and all)

10. The other day I was changing her, and when I unsnapped her onesie, she had a Trix cereal stuck in her belly button.
11. She counts to 3.
12. She is such a "mommy's girl."

13. She gives the BEST hugs and kisses.
14. When her brothers are playing cars, she LOVES to take their cars and RUN!
15. She climbs like a monkey.

16. She can empty the bathroom drawers in 15 seconds.
17. She hates nursery. We have been taking her to nursery at church so she will get used to it, and she only lasts about 2 minutes.
18. She was DEFINITELY worth the wait!!

Today was Brey's 11th Birthday. WOW...I am not old enough to have an 11 year old :) He cannot be 11 already. The time has gone by too fast!! He has brought so much happiness to us. In honor of his birthday, I would like to list 11 things that I LOVE about my Brey. (it was hard to pick only 11)

1. I LOVE his ability to make friends.
2. I LOVE that he wakes up happy every day!
3. I LOVE how he is constantly making people laugh.
4. I LOVE that he is a "smarty pants." (he's my math whiz)
5. I LOVE how he follows Bentlee around to make sure she doesn't get hurt.
6. I LOVE his athletic ability. Sports come naturally to him. Soccer, basketball, baseball.......
7. I LOVE his PERFECT smile!
8. I LOVE that cleanliness is a HIGH priority for him. (he wanted cologne for his birthday)
9. I LOVE that he is a perfectionist at EVERYTHING he does!
10. I LOVE that he isn't embarrassed to tell me that he LOVES me.
11. I LOVE that he loves his family...

AND WE LOVE HIM!!!

Arrow of Light

Tonight, on my 34th birthday, Brey received his Arrow of Light scouting award. He was sooooo excited about receiving this award. (I think he just wanted the arrow so he could torment his brothers with it.) But anyway, it is exciting as parents to watch your children accomplish things. We are very proud of him, and we know that he worked really hard to earn this award.

Careful.....you could poke an eye out with that thing!!

Good Times...

We were FINALLY able to go camping over Labor Day weekend. It was our first, and last, camping trip of the year. Our summer was so hectic that we could never find the time to go camping. We ended up going to the Oakley Reservoir, so the guys could fish and drive their remote control boats, and the kids could ride their 4-wheelers. We had a BLAST!! My sister and her family came along, as well as our friends, the Clarks. Hope you enjoy the pics.....

We spent hours around this table playing "NERTS"!! It is the FUNNEST card game ever invented!! We were addicted!

Back To School

It's that time of year again...back to school! Did we even have summer? It went by so fast! Here are two of my handsome boys getting ready to head off to their first day of school. Brey to 5th grade, Bridger to 2nd grade. Brey couldn't wait!! Sadly for me, he is starting to notice girls and has his eye on a couple of little "cuties" at his school. YIKES!! I'm not ready for this yet!!

Here is my other little handsome devil. My happy, polite, content, pleasant, easy going little Branon, left his mom at home and headed off to kindergarten. I have to admit... I was really sad to see my "bff" go. (that's what he calls me) He has been such a joy to have at home, but he was SO READY to go to school and be like his big brothers. I miss him...Bentlee does too!

Cassia County Fair

We attended our county fair about a week ago. I thought I would post some pictures of the "festivities." This is Bentlee at the parade. She loved it!! Especially the horses...(she called them "kitties")

Girls Getaway

So...I went to Park City last week with a few of my friends. (Alisha, Kelly and Hillary) We called it a "back-to-school shopping trip" (minus the kids) but it was really a "girls getaway"!!!! Thanks to our awesome husbands and parents, we were able to leave ALL of the kids at home. Yes...I even left Bentlee. That is a HUGE step for me!! She LOVES her mommy. It was a wonderful couple of days filled with shopping, eating out and "girl talk." Everyone needs a little getaway every once in a while! I think we should make it a tradition!!

My baby has enough hair for "big girl hair!" It took a lot of parting, combing, gel and hairspray, but I did it. She only said "OW" a few times!! Isn't she soooooo cute?!!!!

Trip To Aunt Tamie's

We just returned from a week long family vacation to Auburn, Washington (near Seattle). We went to visit Kip's sister Tamie, her hubby Jamie, and their kids Ashley and Andrew. It was a busy week filled with many, many fun adventures. The kids got to fly on an airplane for the first time. It was so fun to see their excitement as we took flight! We had the opportunity to spend a couple of days at the Great Wolf Lodge. What a wonderful place!! It's a "kids paradise!" It's a hotel/water park/arcade, all under one roof. Everyone should go there...it's AMAZING!! We spent some time at the Family Fun Center playing mini golf and riding go-carts. And of course...we got to have some "girl time" and go SHOPPING!! I think Bentlee ended up with 9 new outfits and 5 pairs of shoes. (I hope Kip doesn't read this) I can't help myself...a girl can't have too many shoes! It was a SUPER fun vacation!! Thanks Aunt Tamie for entertaining "the wild bunch"!!

We hosted our Annual 4th of July Party again this year. We had about 60 guests. It was such a blast!! There was tons of food, GREAT friends and AWESOME fireworks!! We are already looking forward to next year! Steve and Kip...the "chefs"

Full House

We had a full house this past weekend and I have to admit...we had a BALL!! Chad, Kacee, Chance, Emi and Dane came. Matt, Melissa and Marlow came. Bret and Rachael came. It was a little CRAZY at times, but soooooooo much fun!

Uncle Chaddy was the "Favorite Uncle Ever!" He brought his 4-wheeler and barrells and gave train rides all weekend long! (Emi, Chad & Branon)

I'm not sure who had more fun. Chad....or the kids!

Baseball Season Ends

Well...after 6 weeks of playing baseball almost every night, the season has come to an end. Brey's team ended up taking 3rd place in the tournament. We were very excited!!! Bridger was on the "Taco Bandido" team and although they didn't win a trophy, he had a great time playing!! Branon LOVED every minute of T-ball.

Is summer FINALLY here? After many, many days of rain, we got some beautiful weather. It went from 60-90 degrees overnight. We decided that it was time to get the Slip-N-Slide out and the kids had a BLAST!!My little gang. Aren't they cute?

Kids are so creative. Their minds are always going. The other morning, I found Branon laying on the living room floor with 2 of his Hot Wheels cars. I said, "Branon are you getting warm in the sun?" He said, "No, look what I did to my cars." As I got a closer look I realized what he had done. He had taken the tops off of his cars and had given them new wheels. Look closely and you will see.....yes, the wheels are FROOT LOOPS!! Funny kid!

Brey had a little excitement in his life last night. His baseball team had their first tournament game. As Brey stepped up to the plate in the 4th inning, he got into position, waited for the pitch, swung at the ball, and hit a HOMERUN!! The crowd went wild!! His team won 10-5. After the game, the umpire gave Brey the "game ball."
He was a little EXCITED!!

The boys REALLY wanted to sell lemonade the other day. I think they expected it to be a REAL money maker. Brey wasn't interested in helping until Bridger came running into the house with their first profit. They managed to stay outside for about 30 minutes before they got bored out of their little minds. Our road isn't exactly busy so they were pretty lucky to have made $5.

We just returned from a 10 day family vacation to BEAUTIFUL Lake Powell. It was a lovely 95 degrees everyday!! We enjoyed swimming, fishing, boating, tubing, relaxing, exploring, and of course...eating!! We created some wonderful family memories and are already looking forward to going back next summer!!
