VEGAS!!

Our friends invited us to go to Vegas with them for a few days, so we made arrangements to leave our kids, packed our suitcases, and jetted off to Vegas for a much needed vacation! We spent 3 days jam packed full of shopping, sight seeing, eating, and going to shows. We were even able to SQUEEZE in the midnight showing of "New Moon."

Kelly, me and Alisha anxiously waiting for New Moon to start!

The Texas Tenors from America's Got Talent!

Looking up at the Stratosphere.

We saw an AMAZING variety show!

Our "Steve sandwich."
Kip thought it was funny that it says Blondie's in the background and we are all brunettes!!

Is that a happy face or what?!

Holloween Fun...

First, the kids painted pumpkins.
Aren't they lovely?!

Then, Kip helped them carve pumpkins.
Bridger said they smelled "disgusting"!!!

FINISHED!!!
Pretty spooky, huh?!

On Halloween, we took the kids to the ward party for
some "trunk-r-treating."

I couldn't get Bridger to cooperate for the camera.

"Creative" Tegan. She made her hat out of duck tape...she's amazing!!

Kam was a little Twister girl.

Branon insisted that I take a picture of his giant lemon head!!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

Pumpkin Patch

The other day, my friend Hillary and I took our kids to the pumpkin patch. Going to the pumpkin patch has always been a "fall favorite" of mine. The kids enjoy it too!!!

There was a contest between the kiddos of who could find the smallest pumpkin.
(Brey, Bridger, Caison, Branon, Hatti)

Are you smarter than a 5th grader?....

While we were gone to Lake Powell, Brey's reading teacher gave his class an assignment to write a descriptive paper about making cookies. The paper had to include a rough draft, a three page organizer, and a final draft. The five senses also had to be included. Since he missed all of the note taking that went with this assignment, we called his good friend, Dakota, to bring her notes and come help us! I was TOTALLY confused!! Not only did he have to write the paper, but he had to do it while mixing, baking, and eating the cookies. I don't remember 5th grade being this hard!

The finished product.
They were actually really yummy! Mmmmm!
Thanks Kota, for coming to our rescue!!

My mom...

I have the most WONDERFUL mother!
She had a birthday yesterday.
Happy Birthday Mom!!
